Early morning climb the impressive Rock Fortress of Sigiriya, a 6th century massive granite outcrop soaring 600 ft above the plains. The fortress is home to famous ‘Sigiriya Maidens’ frescoes. Afternoon visit to Polonnaruwa, the fascinating ruins of the 11th C. Capital of Sri Lanka.
Day excursion to Anuradhapura and famous cave temples of Dambulla with earliest works dating from the 1st C. BC. See the stunning frescoes and numerous fascinating Buddha statues.
Drive to Kandy enroute visit the Spice Garden and a Batik fabric dyeing factory. First of two nights in Kandy.
Today take a city tour of Kandy with your chauffer guide. Evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and attend a cultural show.
Drive to Ahungalla enroute visit to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, your chance to feed one of the baby elephants. First of four nights in Ahungalla.

We very much enjoyed Sri Lanka and appreciated your efforts in putting together a good itinerary in what was a really a short time and close to the planned departure date. The hotels were good and met our expectations, especially the Amaya Hills in Kandy. We were very fortunate with our driver: he was very experienced in hotel management and kept us highly informed about the places we visited and the local site guides he selected were excellent. Qatar Airlines were excellent and our stay in Doha was superb.
Overall we really enjoyed the holiday and would be very happy to recommend Indian Odyssey for future travels.
