Get back to nature at Cabo Serai based within a stone’s throw away for the blue waters of Cabo de Rama beach. The location is a wonderfully quiet, untouched area of Goa and you will find yourself in a virtually private beach. Surrounded by tropical palm jungle in a large area, the views out to the sea are stunning. There is a strong eco emphasis here with native materials such as wood, earth used for its buildings. It’s so beautifully designed to fit with its environment that, on approach, you would hardly know it’s there.
All wooden cottages and tents face the Arabian Sea and enjoy privacy due to dense foliage around each of them. Each is generously roomy with stunning sea views and well equipped with everything you could want for a perfect, relaxing beach holiday. Rustic in style, each has a spacious deck, excellent large bathrooms and they open up to allow the sounds of the sea and the breeze to waft in. Pretty pathways lead from one to the other and there’s nowhere better to daydream than on your wooden verandah.
Dining here is a treat, in the intimate, relaxed, open sided restaurant or on the outer dining terrace, al fresco, under a star studded sky. Delicious fresh seafood and global dishes are prepared using locally sourced ingredients.
You can fill your days up with nature walks, yoga, ayurvedic massages or birdwatching. The bird life is exceptional and gentle strolls in the hills or along trickling streams is an immensely peaceful way to spend the day. For the more active, local forts make for interesting outings and, for those wanting to venture further afield, north Goa boasts historic architecture, great shopping and fabulous restaurants.
