The Tiger Nest resort is known to have one of the best views of the most celebrated sight in all of Bhutan- the 8th century Taktsang monastery etched on a cliff at 10,000 ft from the valley floor.
The accommodation at Tiger Nest resort consists of Deluxe rooms, Executive Suites and traditional cottages. The Executive Suites consist of sitting room, and a bed room with a king sized bed. The deluxe room provides two standard beds with living room and sofa. The independant traditional cottages have been upgraded to include an enclosed verandah with wood panels. The cottages still maintain their original character with paintings by local artists on the bathroom walls depicting local agricultural motifs in a quiet farm setting. All the rooms provide excellent views of Taktsang (Tiger Nest Monastery). In the colder months all rooms are equipped with underfloor heating with individual thermostat for temperature control.
There is a spacious dining are with a classic design fireplace of granite on a slate floor. The cuisine has a vegetarian emphasis using organic fruits and vegetables from surrounding farmland kitchen gardens.
WIFI or wireless network with broadband connections on the ground floor areas of dining, lounge, porch, bar and business center; in addition rooms have internet connections; this is provided free to guests.
