Escaping the heat of Calcutta, make your way up to Darjeeling, a former summer retreat of the East India Company, which still retains its former charms. Your stay here is arranged at Glenburn Tea Estate. Cosy up in planter’s bungalows and enjoy cream teas by the fire and tea plantation walks.

Fly to Delhi.
You will be met on arrival and transfer to your hotel in your private chauffeured car. Optional sightseeing of Delhi in the afternoon. First of two nights in Delhi.
Sightseeing of Old and New Delhi including visit to Red Fort, Parliament House and Humayun Tomb. Evening for shopping in Connaught Place.
Drive to Shimla or add an optional train journey on the route. Check into Wildflower Hall. First of three nights in Shimla.
Sightseeing in Shimla town centre (45 minutes from your hotel). Optional guided forest walk.
Day at leisure.
Your private chauffeured car transfers you to Chandigarh airport for your flight to Kolkata (Calcutta). Met on arrival and transfer to your hotel. First of two nights here.
Private guided city tour of Kolkata. Afternoon at leisure.
Fly to Bagdogra. Met on arrival and transfer to Darjeeling in your private chauffeured car. First of three nights at Glenburn Tea Estate.
Early morning visit Tiger Hill viewpoint to witness the sunrise from behind Kanchenjunga. Later take train to Ghum to visit Buddhist monastery. Afternoon at leisure.
Today, visit one of the town’s authentic tea plantations for a guided tour and a tea tasting session.
Fly to Delhi. Met on arrival and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.
Fly back home.

Just a quick report on the trip! You are a hard act to follow, having lead the first two trips so superbly, but Tilak did you (and us ) proud! He was un-flappable, cool, calm and courteous, extremely helpful, and showed a great sense of humour….what more could one ask? I was very grateful for his help when my camera was stolen, also when I locked my keys in my suitcase.
